SMS Terms and Conditions

This page provides the terms and conditions governing the University of South Carolina Darla Moore School of Business SMS messaging program.

The University of South Carolina Darla Moore School of Business sends text messages using an SMS messaging service to communicate with enrolled students, prospective students, admitted students, and applicants regarding admissions, recruitment, application status updates, enrollment reminders, orientation information, and student onboarding. Subscribing to this service is not required. This service provides you with information via text messaging the school deems helpful and pertinent.


Opt-In to Receive SMS Messages 

Enrollment in the University of South Carolina Darla Moore School of Business SMS messaging program is voluntary.

Subscribe to the University of South Carolina Darla Moore School of Business SMS messaging program by completing the SMS Message Opt-In form.

During the enrollment process, you will be asked to provide your mobile phone number and actively consent to receive SMS messages by selecting "Yes" to the required SMS consent question before submitting the form.

Users who select "No" are not enrolled in the SMS messaging program.

By selecting "Yes," users agree to receive SMS messages regarding admissions, recruitment, application status updates, admissions decisions, enrollment reminders, orientation information, student onboarding, and other student services communications.

  • Reply HELP for assistance.

Consent to receive SMS messages is not required as a condition of admission, enrollment, employment, or receipt of university services.


Messaging Costs

Standard message and data rates from your wireless carrier may apply. When you opt-in to receive SMS messages, you are responsible for any carrier fees such as data plan charges, text messaging charges, tolls, out-of-area roaming, and other charges. Messaging frequency per month may vary. Check with your mobile operator for details on receiving text messages (SMS).


STOP/Opt-out Information

If you wish to stop receiving SMS messages from the University of South Carolina Darla Moore School of Business, simply reply STOP to any SMS message you receive from us.

You may also request to be removed from the SMS messaging program by emailing salesforceinfo@moore.sc.edu.

Once your opt-out request has been processed, you will no longer receive SMS communications from the University of South Carolina Darla Moore School of Business unless you submit a new SMS Message Opt-In request.
