Mrs. StMarie has spent her career specializing in the intersection of technology with national security. Her career has evolved from working for Silicon Valley technology companies to national security positions with the federal government involving policy and technology. Her government roles included leadership positions with US Cyber Command, the National Security Agency and the Office of the Director of National Intelligence.

She started her own academic journey with a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems Management from the University of Maryland Baltimore County and later obtained a Master of Arts in Strategic Security Studies from National Defense University in Washington, DC.

In addition to teaching, she is actively involved in the business startup community as a Venture South Angel Investor. Mrs. StMarie is hoping to mentor and inspire future students, and future business leaders, to develop and support new technologies that make our world a better place.
