Field Programs

From the rocky landscapes of the American West to the coastal waters of South Carolina, our field programs give students opportunities to put classroom learning into practice. Working with faculty and fellow students, they learn to make careful observations, collect and interpret data, and investigate the natural processes shaping the environments around them.

Field and Lab Investigations in Marine Science

Field and Lab Investigations in Marine Science (MSCI 460) - combines field sampling and laboratory work to explore coastal and estuarine environments. Conducted in residence at the Belle W. Baruch Marine Field Laboratory in Georgetown, South Carolina, during the fall, spring and summer semesters, the course gives students the hands-on technical and field training needed to conduct and critically evaluate marine science research.    LEARN MORE
