Memberships

Our facilities and programs are designed with you in mind—providing the best experiences to support your journey to better health and wellness. Whether you’re a student, faculty, staff, or part of the Gamecock community, a membership at USC Campus Recreation gives you access to premier amenities and activities that keep you energized, engaged, and connected.

Memberships

Our memberships align with the University Academic Calendar and can be purchased at any time. Each membership option below will have a link to take you directly to your desired membership type. Membership fees are prorated throughout the term.

As the purchaser, you are responsible for paying the 2.5% credit card processing fee in addition to the membership price. The total displayed at checkout will include both the membership cost and the 2.5% processing fee.

Free Membership Trial

We offer a 14-Day free trial membership to all USC Columbia campus faculty, staff, and affiliates. This trial is only available if you have not been a member before. The trial membership provides access to the Blatt PE Center and the Strom Thurmond Wellness and Fitness Center during all operational hours.

Student Memberships 

For the fall and spring semesters if you are fee paying student enrolled in USC - Columbia during the current semester, you will have access to our facilities during all operational hours. You must have a physical CarolinaCard to access our facilities. 

For the summer term, if you are enrolled in any summer class, you have access to the Wellness and Fitness Center all summer. If you drop that class, you will need to purchase a membership. If you are not enrolled in any summer classes, you will need to purchase a membership. You are eligible to purchase a summer membership as a student if you meet the following criteria:  

  1. You have enrolled in at least one fall class. 
  2. You are a May graduate.  

If you do not have a CarolinaCard (or you have issues with your current card), please contact the Carolina Card Office.

Early Bird Memberships

Early Bird Memberships offer a flexible and cost-effective option for members who prefer to use our facilities during specific hours. Here's what you get with an Early Bird Membership:

STWFC:
Mon. - Thu.: 6:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
Fri. - Sun.: Full access during all operational hours.
University Holidays/Breaks/Summer: Full access during all operational hours.

Blatt PEC:
Full Access: Available during all operational hours.

Alumni Memberships

USC alumni are eligible to purchase a Campus Recreation membership. To do so, you must also maintain an active USC Alumni Association membership.

Before purchasing your Campus Recreation membership, please complete the following steps:

  1. Join the USC Alumni Association.
  2. Purchase a $35 CarolinaCard. A physical CarolinaCard is required to access Campus Recreation facilities and is separate from your Alumni Association membership.
  3. Purchase your Campus Recreation membership.

Parking

Alumni may purchase a limited number of annual WC parking passes for the lot next to the Wellness & Fitness Center. Passes are $50 per year and can be purchased through the USC Parking Office:

Street and garage parking are also available nearby.

Group Memberships

If your department or group is interested in purchasing or offering memberships for a group of participants/staff, please fill out the inquiry form below. We will get back to you within 1 to 2 business days. If you have any questions, please email sacrmsrv@mailbox.sc.edu.

Membership Policies and Conditions

  1. Memberships are non-transferable, non-refundable and membership fees are subject to change.
  2. Campus Recreation members MUST use their own Carolina Card/mobile credentials to access our facilities.
    1. If you do not have a CarolinaCard (or you have issues with your current card), please contact the Carolina Card Office.

Guest Passes & Policy

Guest Passes are available to purchase for $10 at the Wellness and Fitness Center Welcome Desk.
*Guest Passes are not available at the Blatt PE Center.

Qualifications to Purchase:
- Must pay with credit/debit card (NO cash)
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must have a physical photo ID with date of birth listed
- Must have a sponsor (sponsors are active members of Campus Recreation or active USC students)
*You may not enter our facility and ask a student you do not know to sponsor you.

Sponsor Expectations:
Sponsor is to stay with their guest throughout their entire time in the facility and is responsible for any actions of the guest.
Rules:
- Pass only lasts for one calendar day
- Only two guests per sponsor
