Network of Opportunities Toward Elderly Service
What to Expect
Open to any student, NOTES facilitates involvement with retirement/nursing homes in Columbia through offering ways for students to interact with the elderly. Volunteer opportunities are flexible; students can choose which affiliate location(s) and which timeslot(s) to attend. Musically-inclined students have opportunities to perform (solo, small-group, or ensemble) at informal venues for the elderly, while non-musical students can write letters and/or provide companionship to the elderly through conversation.
Registered Student Organization (RSO): student organizations that are independent legal entities from the University, have no delegated authority from the University, and do not perform functions on behalf of the university.
